Optimize Your Screen

Optimize your screen for 1024x768. Statistically speaking, 60% of all users view their screen at this resolution.
Design your website with this resolution but do not restrict the user from having a different screen size.
Your screen should be designed for that screen size but it should be flexible to allow other users to use it as well.
This is called a liquid layout. Do not use frozen screens.

Again, use 1024x768 because it is the most common. We should keep three things in mind when we make our page layout.

1. Initial Visibility- Is key information available without scrolling?
2. Readability- Is it easy to read?
3. Aesthetics- How well does the page look at the proper screen size?

Keep in mind that bigger screens will likely be more popular down the road and that our web pages should be viewable
for them as well. The three questions that I mentioned above will be useful in the design of my own web pages.
