Color and/or Underline your Links
- Don't make users guess, show them where your links are.
- If you color and position links appropriately, underlining isn't always necessary.
- Don't underline text if it is not a link.
- Use different colors to show the difference between links that have been used or not.
- When you choose a link color, stick to it, and don't use that color for anything else.
- Don't use hover options for your links. It makes the page cluttered as you are browsing through it.
- Avoid using smaller text for links and keep them spaced out appropriately.
I could never list all of these on my own, but after reading this, I can recall websites that I have
seen that displayed each of these very nicely. The website would be much better without them.
